Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a group of parents and family members working with teachers and school administrators to benefit our students. To join the PTA, email frontierelempta@gmail.com.

Reasons to Join the PTA

  • Provide great opportunities for our children.

How You Can Help

  • Be a member, attend meetings and provide input.

  • Represent your child's class at PTA meetings.

  • Plan and/or participate in the art contest, Donuts with Dad, or Muffins with Mom.

  • Bring a dish to the Teacher Appreciation Potluck.

  • Collect Box Tops and attend restaurant fundraisers.

  • Attend family events like movies, holiday events and dances.

School Accountability Committee (SAC)

The SAC is an advisory committee that will work through continuous, positive improvements, ensuring fulfillment of all mandates (local/state/federal) for governance, accountability and accreditation requirements as outlined in the Academy School District 20 (ASD20) Board of Education Policies. We are always seeking new members. If you are interested in joining SAC, please contact Miss Garnhart at 719-234-4600. The Frontier SAC meets quarterly from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

The Purpose of the SAC is to:

  • Make recommendations to the Principal regarding expenditures of school monies through prioritized choices. The Principal shall consider each recommendation regarding the expenditures of any state, federal, local or private grants and any other discretionary funds to formulate budget requests to be presented to the board of education.

  • Make recommendations concerning the preparation of a School Improvement Plan.

  • Review site plan objectives, student and school performance and achievements, and annual community surveys. Provide feedback and or recommend actions or focus areas based on results.

  • Make recommendations to the principal regarding student/school safety, health and character issues as related to the school's learning environment.

  • Communicate information to and from the District Accountability Committee (DAC) regularly.

  • Review and amend bylaws as needed.
