Taking Stock

Frontier academics begin with learning style inventories. With families, we learn about each student’s strengths, interests and learning styles. From there, development is addressed through general studies, enrichment and interventions. Students earn all the tool to take flight.

Extra Latitude for Learning

Core curriculum such as language, math and reading are presented in small group blocks. Music, art PE and Spanish make up specials. Passion Projects, Genius Hour, self-directed studies and activities like robotics and even a wax museum inject creativity, thoughtfulness and fun into learning.

Distinctive Diversity

About 35 countries are represented at Frontier Elementary, an ESL magnet school. As a result, students learn patience, understanding and communication. Children support one another and everyone gets involved thanks to activities such as ESL family dinner nights.

All for One

Frontier Elementary is a Title One school based on a higher percentage of families in financial need. Federal grant funding provides for academic, social, emotional and family support. Family Fun Learning Nights, literacy events, at-home tools and family resources bolster the traditional school experience.

Education Enhanced

Students take their learning further with Frontier Eagle PRIDE. Cafeteria to classroom, children learn and demonstrate five PRIDE principles: Problem solving; Respect, responsibility and safety; Improvement towards our best selves; Determination and risk taking; and Empathy and kindness.
